In the 70's, the Pinoy discovered the FM band. Offering music tailored to satisfy varied tastes with greater clarity, on full stereo sound. WLS-FM was among the first to invade the airwaves with a delightful mix of Top 40 hits, standards, and cutting-edge music that's always easy on the ear. And so it went until the 90s when WLS-FM re-formatted to become the CAMPUS RADIO.
Campus Radio targets the campus denizens, the school crowd with their special needs-- today's hits on weekdays. Jamming on weekends. And a Campus Billboard that lets listeners in on what's happening in schools all over the metropolis.
Today, WLS is the hottest pop station on the FM band. This time, it does more than play today's hottest tunes. Through the WLS Message Center, just about everybody can reach anybody wherever the action is in the city--right ON THE AIR... 24 hours a day, seven days a week... WLS-FM Campus Radio.
DJs from Barangay FM in Manila would join the new Campus Radio WLS-FM as part of reverting the old brand from Barangay LS to Campus Radio 97.1 WLS-FM, plus the former titles came from Barangay LS as "Campus Love Stories"
