Milo at the Nakhon Ratchasima 2007 Southeast Asian Games
Two years after the country hosted the 23rd Southeast Asian Games and twelve years before the country hosted the 30th Southeast Asian Games, now Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand is hosting the 24th Southeast Asian Games coinciding with the commemoration of the 80th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej who was also the gold medalist of the sailing event at the 1967 games.
But Milo was the official energy drink of the Philippine Team for the 24th Southeast Asian Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand led by product endorsers such as taekwondo jin John Paul Lizardo and Pauline Louise Lopez, gymnast Danica Calapatan, weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, figure skaters Katrice Delos Reyes and Michael Christian Martinez, swimmers Miguel Molina and Ernest Lorenzo Dee and marathon runners Jho- Ann Banayag, Eduardo Buenavista and Mary Joy Tabal.
Molina, the winner of the 200 and 400-meter individual medley and 200-meter breaststroke in the Manila SEA Games, gained a slot in the 2008 Olympics when his clocking of 2:03.06 in the 200-meter individual medley met the Olympic qualifying time of 2:05.65.
The swimming gold medalists were Molina, winner of the 200-meter breaststroke, 200-meter, and 400-meter individual medley, Arabejo, 1,500-meter freestyle, and 200-meter backstroke champion, Walsh, 200-meter butterfly, and Coakley, the new SEA Games record holder in the 50-meter freestyle.
While for DLSU Green Tankers and PCA Stingrays member and UAAP Swimming Championships Men's Division MVP Dee was in lane 8 of the men’s 100-meter butterfly finals on December 9, 2007, and lane 1 of the men’s 200-meter butterfly finals on December 11, 2007.
Aside from swimmers Molina, Arabejo, Walsh, Coakley, Pangilinan, Dacera, Dee, Aguilar, Yap, Uy, Cordero, Gonzalez, and Santiago weightlifter Diaz won the bronze medal in women's 58kg weightlifting on December 9, 2007, figure skater Martinez is doing a Short program and free skating during the figure skating competitions last December 8 and 9, 2007 and pole vaulter E. Obiena would be joined by his son EJ in a flight bound for Bangkok.
